Welcome to my ophthalmology blog, focused on furthering public understanding of evidence-based vision health. I am Dr. Srilekha Pallamparthy, an experienced specialist physician with a dedication to exceptional patient eye care and advancement of quality research in my field.

I am presently working in Dubai. I completed my medical training at highly prestigious institutes in India, first pursuing an MBBS at Osmania Medical College. I then went on to attain an MS Ophthalmology degree at JIPMER, securing all-India ranks at both colleges’ rigorous entrance exams. Seeking to further specialize in glaucoma, I obtained intensive fellowship training from the world-renowned Aravind Eye Hospital, which is the largest eyecare system in the world. With this robust education from globally respected leaders in ophthalmology care and research, I gained extensive expertise in effectively diagnosing and managing vision-threatening diseases.

I started this blog to improve public understanding of common eye health issues. As an ophthalmologist, I want to educate people about preventing and managing eye diseases. Even though many eye problems can cause blindness, a lot of these conditions can be treated if caught early. My focus is on emphasizing the significance of early detection, as timely intervention can often make a significant difference in treatment outcomes. My goal is to improve eye health by making reliable information more accessible to everyone.
